Sport Airsoft AIRSOFT VS PAINTBALL [VIDEO]

    Hey crew,

Check this video, yes it's kinda biased... but still a bit of fun.

There is a HUGE debate in the states as to which is better AS or PB?

I happen to think there's a really good argument for AS:
    1) Hurts less
    2) Cheaper
    3) More tactical
    4) Better field and game play options

Paintball has one big thing going for it:
    When your hit there's proof!

It can be a real pain figuring out if someone is hit or even if your hit in Airsoft and can ruin games.
But on the whole it works out pretty well.

With the hurts less point some times it is better for it to hurt more so you are more cautious and 'tactical' as you do not want to get hurt but in as you just get cocky and don't care if you get hit.

Good evening all. This is interesting. I had an email from a chap at the paintball club at Lake Hood (near Ashvegas) They contacted us regarding the use of the field for a staurday event in the near future with the reciprocating arrangement of having a days use of theirs. Although I have not seen it I am led to believe that it is very good. It may be a good opportunity for a spring shoot ?

I would be an iddy bit reticent about letting paintballers on your field. Although only their for a day, the paint & unexploded balls will be turning your gear pink for many months.

I actually know the guy who runs ops down at Lake Hood. Garth Lawson, right? He's a real good sort. But yeah, do be aware that there'll be a lot of paint on the field for a bit after they roll through. It all washes with water and i've not had any gear stain. You'd prob have a blast at their field too.

As for the Airsoft v Paintball thing? I've played/play both. S'all good.

from me who has played both games, PB for 10 years and AS for 1year, you can make any game with guns tactical. AS has a wide range of weapons but no bang when u pull the trigger. PB you get the bang, and the pain, each to their own, as I prefer PB or ram as our guns go bang and eject a case and are capped to reflect milsim. for entry level people AS is a safe bet.

seriously, in my honest opinion, it's quite silly to try and line the two up like that and say which is better, it really is in all situations a matter of preference. Granted I haven't had a great deal of experience in paintball, but I've never had a paintball game where I didn't have fun either. They're two different sports, similar in theme, but different. There are things about both games that i prefer, but saying airsoft is more tactical is a fallacy. Like MR T said, you can make any game with guns tactical.
Better field and gameplay options: exactly how does airsoft have that advantage? What kind of game can you play in airsoft that CANNOT be applied to paintball in any way?
Ammo is cheaper in airsoft: ok that you can't dispute, but it's the same as them saying "you can tell when you're hit in paintball" apples and oranges.
sure you get a mess after a game of paintball, but it's not like the stuff is impossible to wash off.

At the end of the day, MY preference obviously still lies with Airsoft, but it irks me when people start making groundless statements about which is better. Get some broader perspectives before posting, this is like apple fanboys vs apple haters, the flow of logic is beyond apprehension in those arguments, and 90% of the people are just jumping on the bandwagon cause it makes them seem cooler this is not a stab at anyone posting here btw hahaha just that topics of these sorts tickle a nerve No intention to offend anyone
